Market is rain or shine every Tuesday beginning June 15 ending September 28 from 11 am-5 pm at Town Hall. There will be NO Market 7/6 and 9/7. We will also have 11/20 “ A Very Local Thanksgiving” and 12/11 “Holiday Boutique” that are part of this commitment.
Despite accelerated growth in the industrial segment within the town and its villages, the character, heart and economic vitality of the small business community remains the most important component to future economic success of the town.
Please indicate dates you are NOT available. (Restaurants will be featured one week per month unless otherwise indicated.) All other vendors are expected every week unless indicated on the application. More than TWO unexcused absences will result in forfeiture of space and will exclude your business from participating in future markets.
Cost per 10×10 Space is $10 per week for members, $35 per week for non members. Electric is an additional $5 per space. You may prepay the season in full for a 10% discount.
Preference will be given to town residents, businesses and returning vendors but ALL WILL BE CONSIDERED.
Applications must be received by Friday April 9, 2021. You will receive an email by April 23, confirming acceptance and approved items. Please download the application and return with all required documents and first week’s payment to: P.O. Box 242 Montgomery, N.Y. 12549 with checks made payable to: Business Council of Greater Montgomery OR email documents in one document to: thebcgm@gmail and mail check only OR request a square invoice.
Please read this in its entirety. A signed copy MUST be submitted on Opening Day. Please arrive no later than 9:45 am for the first day, 10:15 thereafter.
The market will take place rain or shine every Tuesday From 11am until 5pm at Town Hall (110 Bracken Rd. Montgomery, NY 12549). Set up will be from 10-10:45. All cars must be out of the market area and in vendor parking (located behind town hall, labeled Vendor Parking) BY 10:45. No vehicles are allowed back in the market area until after 5:00. No exceptions.
There are NO DOGS allowed at the market, Service animals only.
You must have a representative in your tent at all times during the market. If you make arrangements prior to market, we can have a volunteer assist you or cover for you if needed. We will have volunteers at the market to cover bathroom breaks as well.
We are NOT offering samples this year. The only exception is if they are packaged and consumed OFF SITE. ( The lawn is considered off site.)
At your tent you must have: hand sanitizer, hand washing station, gloves and masks to supply yourself for the day. Garbage bag for your trash. Adequate tent and table weights. We suggest you have signage and pricing.
We will let everyone know via email and message to the provided contact number if the market is cancelled for any reason by 5 pm on Monday. Otherwise, the market is opening as expected.
Guidelines this year require strict social distancing rules and regulations and as a representative of this market, you are expected to abide by and enforce these rules in and around your tent. Customers will need to stay six feet apart while waiting to pay and may not touch product under any circumstances.
You are allowed to bring only the items you were approved for. Flavors may change but products must remain the same. New items must be submitted in writing via email to the market manager at: email@example.com . You are required to give a minimum of one full week’s notice for an absence so that we can be sure to reconfigure the market layout properly. Two unexcused absences will result in forfeiture of your space for the remainder of the season.
You are required to take the TOMCASH Vouchers from the food pantry. You will be reimbursed for them.
Your space fee is $35 per week for nonmembers $10 WEEK FOR MEMBERS and will be collected at the end of the market each week by the market manager. At this time, your TOMCASH Vouchers can be exchanged for cash. This will be two separate transactions with the manager. ( Your fee cannot be “taken off the balance.”)
Please refrain from lowering the prices throughout the day.
You are expected to bring enough product to stock for the whole day. Please pre-package as much as possible. You must clean up all scraps, trash, etc after yourself at each market.
You must follow all guidelines required of you by the Department of Health, CDC, WHO, Department of Agriculture and Markets and The Greater Montgomery Farmers Market.

You are encouraged to share and post on social media about and during the market and are allowed to barter with the other vendors if they are open to it. You are also allowed to have CSA or online order pick up at your tent as long as you have the staff to do so.
