Mark Bolger Joins WALL Radio

Veteran Hudson Valley broadcaster will host
Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Middletown, NY – Mark Bolger, a familiar radio voice to many Hudson Valley listeners, has joined the airstaff of WALL radio, it was announced today by WALL General Manager Mary Ridings.

Mark Bolger has been a staple of Hudson Valley radio since the 1980s and has hosted mornings on several stations in the market.  Now he’ll be heard on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from noon to 5pm on WALL Radio playing the Hudson Valley’s Greatest Hits.

“Having been on in the mornings for decades was lots of fun,” said Mr. Bolger.  “You try to help start people’s day when they are juggling time between work and family.  WALL has given me a prime slot on weekend afternoons to share all these great songs.  I’ll enjoy hanging out with the listeners while they kick back a little.  It’s going to be great.”

“Having listened to and worked with Mark,” said Mrs. Ridings, “I’m just as excited as most to add him to our on-air team.  He’s a broadcast professional and an easy conversationalist, and he’s the perfect complement to our Hudson Valley hometown station.”

Mark Bolger is a ten-time winner in the Best Radio Personality category in Hudson Valley Magazine’s annual Best-Of issue.  ‘Tonight Show’ host Jimmy Fallon once told the Poughkeepsie Journal that, as a kid, he would listen continuously to “The Bolge.”

WALL Radio can be heard on 94.9FM (Middletown NY,) 105.7FM (Ellenville NY,) 94.1FM (Chester NY,) 106.5FM (Newburgh NY,) and 106.3FM (Poughkeepsie NY), as well as its own WALL Radio app.  WALL Radio is also accessible through smart speakers.   Mr. Bolger’s first broadcast will be Saturday, January 15th.

WALL Radio is locally owned by Neversink Media Group LLC, along with Pocono 96.7 (WABT-FM) in Stroudsburg PA, WDLC Country in Port Jervis NY and Lite 106.9 in Milford PA.
