Our Background

Despite accelerated growth in the industrial segment within the town and its villages, the character, heart and economic vitality of the small business community remains the most important component to future economic success of the town.

Three independent, distinct villages offer multiple opportunities to create economic growth and grow tourism opportunities.

If the Business Council can assist in managing this in conjunction with or parallel to the development of the industrial corridors, it will create a well-rounded and
established place to work, live, shop and flourish.

Previously established community initiatives such as the VPC, Block Ambassador program, Walden Community Council, etc. should all play a significant role in developing this vision.
