Our Mission

Grow the Business Council of Greater Montgomery by effectively providing representation for all businesses. We will support, promote, develop economic prosperity while recognizing the unique and individual character of the village in which these businesses established their identity.

Our Background

As we experience accelerated growth in the industrial segment within the town and its villages, the character, heart and vitality of the small business remains the most important component to future economic success of the town.

Three independent, distinct villages offer multiple opportunities to create economic growth and increase tourism opportunities. The Business Council is committed to managing this in conjunction with and parallel to the development of the industrial corridors to create a well-rounded, established place to work, live, shop and flourish.

Previously established community initiatives will all play a significant role in developing this vision. With the goal of working together to grow our “Greater Montgomery Area” into a thriving destination to live, work and play.

Our Goal

To dictate the long term economic and social success of the Greater Montgomery area by investing in the education of our businesses and our young workforce.

I’m opening a Cupcake Shop in the Village of Walden and I am so glad that I picked the location that I did! Opening a business is tough, but doing it in the Town of Montgomery has made things much easier for me! Without the help of the Town of Montgomery Business Council, I’m not sure I would have made it this far. Between everything Brian Maher has done and Randi Picarello answering my 7 million questions, pushing me when I so desperately needed it and keeping in contact to see how things are going. The Town of Montgomery is thriving with new businesses right now and, if I could guess, it’s because of the Business Council and how willingly helpful they are with assisting in the process!

I'd like to thank our Montgomery business council Randi, for helping me throughout the process. Not only during the remodel of the building, but all the way throughout the process to make sure things were running smoothly. We had a few loops & delays during the renovations & Tony & I found ourselves a bit stressed at the time...but thankfully Randi helped alleviate some of that by following up on things with the town. Thank you for going above and beyond as a business council. Small businesses like us can all use all the support we can get, so thank you for that. Our ribbon cutting was perfect and I can not wait to do more events with you and our local community.
