
Sara K. Hall
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Sara moved to Orange County in 2002 and to the
Montgomery area in 2007. She joined New York Life’s Hudson Valley General Office as a financial professional in 2012.
Working with individuals and businesses on life insurance, investments and retirement; she creates tax-advantaged solutions for better futures.
A passionate life-long learner, Sara is an active member of the local chapter of P.E.O., a women’s educational philanthropy; a past Board President of Literacy Orange, and a member of the Vestry at St. James Episcopal Church in Goshen. When she decided in 2009 to buy a home in the Village of Montgomery, her decision had much to do with her love for her hometown – a strong sense of history, a river, and numerous excellent eateries.
Sara is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother of a young grandson. She’s enjoyed two previous careers in magazine journalism and in teaching writing and English. She served for six years as the Publications Editor and Vice President of Marketing for the Traverse City Convention and Visitors’ Bureau in Michigan, and over the years taught at SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Delhi, Mt. St Mary College and Chapel Field Christian School.
Sara holds bachelor’s degrees in French and Russian from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Virginia and a master’s degree in communications from Stanford University in California.
